- Rubber non-slip outsole, with grippy lugging which is ideal for active adventurous kids
- Premium soft calf leather combined with matte Nubuck in a hyper-tactile comfort feel
- Unconventional, asymmetrical upper designs for a casual aesthetic
What is Zero Drop?
Zero Drop means there is no degree of difference in the elevation from the heel through to forefoot, just like your feet. So the foot bed is flat, completely horizontal to the earth to mimic how it would be if your child was standing barefoot. We include a minimal toe-spring to ensure children don’t trip.
Why not a lot of padding?
The shoe design for all the Alpha by Bobux styles is minimal, there’s no arch support, no internal layers and only a soft little bit of padding around the back of the ankle, which we include for kids to ensure they’re super comfy. It helps strengthen developing feet to be able to move naturally within the shoe.
Why is this good for growing feet?
All Bobux shoes are grounded in the belief that natural movement is paramount to foot-health and development. Natural foot movement is allowing feet to move, breath and develop as nature intended. Letting bones and muscles gain strength and ability by linking the brain, and the right muscles, to the physical feeling of that movement. Bobux supports this philosophy in all our footwear, but our Alpha range takes this to the next level with a closer emulation of bare feet in action. Our Xplorers, which are designed for aiding the transition from walking to crawling, have always offered this experience, but now, we have made it available to older children too.
